CHETNA is seeking an Outreach Specialist/Administrative Assistant

We are currently looking for a part time Outreach Specialist on a contractual basis to assist us in expanding our outreach and awareness in the local community, helping us with event planning and fundraising, increasing our marketing/advertising efforts and social media presence, creating graphic updates to our materials and community presentations, and effectively engaging volunteers. Some office management/administrative activities will also be required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree required in Graphic Design, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising, or related field REQUIRED.
  • Minimum of one-year professional experience in event planning, marketing/advertising, outreach and/or fundraising REQUIRED.
  • Experience working in nonprofit preferred. It is preferred that applicant has a strong familiarity with South Asian culture and/or speaks a South Asian language.

Employment Type: Part-time Contract Position 5-10 hours weekly during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm); Some evenings and weekends also required

Timeframe – December 2019 to May 2020 (position may be renewed at the end of this time period)
